Also see page entitled "Continued" for the actual fight of David the shepherd boy against the Philistine giant who had attacked Israel.
The twenty-first principle about how to fight by GOD's ways, seems to be not to use women as bait, and for righteous men when you are offered a woman as an enticement against GOD don't take the bait! . It is written, "And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways, and THE LORD was with him. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he ws afraid of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he went out and came in before them. And Saul said to David, 'behold my elder daughter Me-rab, her will I give thee to wife; only be thou valiant for me and fight THE LORD's battles.' For Saul said, 'let not mine hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him." And David said to Saul, "who am I? and what is my life? or my father's family that I should be the son-in-law to the King?" I Samuel 18: 14-18
The twenty-second principle from the Bible about warfare seems to be that GOD decides the battles and decides who the opponents are, and that HE punishes the leaders harshly especially when they turn to false gods. It is written, "For Solomon went after ashtoreth the goddess of the Zi-do-ni-ans,and after milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. And Solomon did evil in the sight of THE LORD, and went not fully after THE LORD as did David his father. Then did Solomon build an high place unto che-mosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem and for molech the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. And THE LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart turned away from THE LORD GOD of Israel, which had appeared to him twice. And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods, but he kept not that which THE LORD commanded. Wherefore THE LORD said unto Solomon, 'forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept MY Covenant, and MY Statutes,[laws] which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the Kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. Nowwithstanding, in thy days, I will not do it for David thy father's sake; but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son. Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom but will give one tribe to thy son for David MY servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen'. And THE LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite, he was of the King's seed in Edom. . . and GOD stirred him up another adversary Rezon the son of Eli-a-dah, which fled from his lord Had-a-de-zer, King of Zobah." I Kings 11: 5-14, and 23
The twenty-third principle seems to be: do NOT fight against GOD! It is written," Thus saith THE LORD, 'ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel; return every man to his house; for this thing is from ME. " They hearkened unto therefore to the Word of THE LORD, and returned to depart according to the Word of THE LORD." I Kings 12: 24
